Schools of selected U.S. states will provide an additional educational tool to its students in the form of a Brainchild Kineo tablet computer. This 7-inch 800MHz Android device can only be used for educational purposes only. It prohibits unauthorized web browsing, personal e-mails, and game apps like Angry Birds.
The Kineo runs on a special version of Android Eclair and allows teachers to limit student access to education-related apps, websites, or features. The tablet is really pushing itself as more of an enhancement, rather than a stumbling, to a child’s academic success.
The first 5,000 units of Kineo school slate will arrive to select school districts in Texas, California, Tennessee, and some other states.
